Some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, or end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next.

I Have Been Changed For Good

I spent a weekend in Idaho, or "Ida-tard", as Breanna calls it. It was so awesome! I went with 4 of my favorite people: Breanna, Lexi, Cortney and Eliza. We went on a mini road trip. Here's what we did (all photos were taken off Facebook. I have no camera):

First, we drove to Shoshone Falls and had a picnic.

Then we arrived in Boise and checked into our hotel and headed out to dinner at Papa Joe's. It. Was. So. Yummy. If you are ever in Boise, go there! It was amazing!

Then we went and saw the Broadway Touring Company of "Wicked". I've been waiting for this moment along with Eliza and Lexi for 7 YEARS. It was inspirational. We all bawled and had a group hug at intermission. Everyone thought we were way weird. During the song, "For Good", I looked around at my best friends and was overwhelmed with gratitude for the friends I've been given. I'm too blessed.

We went back to the hotel and watched "3 Amigos" and talked about how amazing the show was.

The next morning (after only 4 hours of sleep- we were a little grumpy at first), we went and did baptisms at the Boise, Idaho Temple.

Afterwards we stopped in Twin Falls and went shopping for a couple hours. Finally, we arrived home.

It was pretty much one of the greatest things of my life. It was so nice to spend time with these girls. We are all making a lot of changes in our lives, and we won't get to all see each other for a while. It was so great. I'm so glad we went.

My New Love

Is the O.P.I. Katy Perry Collection Nail Polish.

It is so amazing.

Right now, I am wearing "Last Friday Night":

And the other day I put my name on a waiting list for "Teenage Dream":

That is so not something I would usually do.

That just shows how amazing this nail polish is.

I LOVE IT!

Did I Mention I'm Going on a Mission?

I am.

I submitted my papers this week!

Everyone who reads this blog already knows I'm going on a mission, but I felt like I had to announce it.

I'm really, really excited, and also a bit nervous. This is way out of my comfort zone, and I am aware that it is going to be a really difficult experience.

But I know it's what I'm supposed to do, and that God and my Savior will help me through it all, and that I will find great joy in what I'm doing.

"What's a Wedding Coordinator?"

It's what I want to be!
I love to help plan weddings! I helped my cousin Amanda choose her colors, I made her centerpieces, and I helped pick out the bridesmaid dresses. I am not visually artistic, so I can't ever be a wedding decorator, but I am good at making sure everything is done and ready, so I was thinking I'd love to be a wedding coordinator. Recently, I sort of got my chance. My cousin Garrett married a lovely girl in the Apia Samoa Temple. But he asked me to help his sister plan a reception for him in Utah. The only problem was, his sister lives in Oregon, so it was more me and my mom planning it with us asking her opinion. Here was the catch: we had $1200 to use. How does one do a reception with that amount of money and NOT make it look tacky? It was a challenge, and we did the best we could. Here is what we came up with:

We tried to have a bit of a Samoan theme by using bright colors and tropical flowers. Of course, real tropical flowers in Utah would have been very expensive, but we found these fake orange hibiscus and birds of paradise at Joann's for a dollar a stem.

The real flowers were done at Hepworth's floral. But they did not dye the roses the bright orange color they promised. Instead it was pale and it was pretty upsetting because we emphasized the word "bright" like million times.

All of these photos were taken by my friend Amanda Rumsey. She was the photographer for the night. Here is her blog, but her Facebook page shows more of her work.

It was tough work budgeting this reception out, but for what we had to work with I think we did pretty well.
Now someone let me plan their wedding who had a bigger budget. Haha
