Some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, or end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next.

Crepes

Yesterday I took my Daddy on a date to "Annie Get Your Gun". It was great! A bunch of people I know where in the show, including Breanna, Taylor and Devin. After the show, I dropped my dad off and went to Chili's with the cast.

One of the cast members brought his son, and I said to Devin, "Hey, that is the guy who married *Abby (*changed the name because it's really not my place to tell this story)!" 'Abby' is a friend of ours who was married for only like two months and then got the marriage annulled. And Devin was like, "No way! That is so weird!" And that was the end of the conversation. Or so I thought. About a half hour later, Devin said to the guy, "Hey! Weren't you married to Abby?" He said yes. I was horrified. And THEN Devin said, "I just wanted to let you know that the crepes at your reception were AMAZING!" And the guy was like, "Thanks...?". And it was so awkward.

After dinner, Breanna, Taylor, Devin and I were out in the parking lot dancing and being retarded. And I was laughing so hard that I seriously about started to throw up. It was so much fun!

My Daddy

Yesterday was Father's Day, and I would just like to inform you all that I have a wonderful father. This is in no order, I am just going to type random thoughts and memories.

According to most people, I look just like my dad. I consider this a compliment because my dad is very handsome. And when he was younger, all the girls thought he was way attractive (I learned this from reading his high school yearbooks hahaha).
Dad loves sports. I hope that I get this right: he played soccer, baseball and football in high school. He went to BYU and LOVES that school. He played on the BYU JV baseball team. He takes us to Provo for sporting events for fun.

He loves history. He is always reading Biographies and other random history books. You can ask him anything about history, and he usually knows it. He helped me write pretty much all of my history papers. In 7th grade, I went straight into Algebra instead of taking pre-Algebra first. It was the hardest class I've ever taken because I just didn't have the foundation I needed to understand that class. Dad stayed up with me every night and helped with my homework for that whole entire year.

The first musical my dad took me to was My Fair Lady at BHS in...1997, I think. And it was then that I learned that after seeing a musical with Dad, he acts out the whole thing if there are fun accents. I love that he gets really excited about musicals even though he has never participated in one and no one in his family did them and he is tone deaf. My dad gave me my first bouquet of a dozen red roses when I was fifteen. I thought it was the coolest thing ever! My dad has a really funny laugh when he laughs really hard. My dad and I think a lot of the same things are funny. My dad also thinks I'm funny, which I appreciate because not many people do.

I love that my Dad can always give me a blessing when I need one. I love that he wants me to succeed in the things that I love.

One more story about my dad that makes me cry whenever my mom tells me about it- It's a really random story but for some reason it means a lot to me. You might get grossed out by this but oh well! One time when I was a almost one year old I was very very constipated, and I was screaming and crying and very miserable. And my dad felt so bad. So what did he do? He started pulling the poop out of my bum with his bare hands so that I was no longer in pain. And I think that that was so kind of him!

I love my Dad!

Provo!!

Yesterday after getting home from work and being so so tired my dad said he was going to Provo in a few minutes. I decided to go with him.

Back ground info - my cousin Josh is sixteen and an amazing athlete. He lives in Arizona and he was invited to go to the BYU Nike training camp thing. My grandparents and some aunts and uncles were all going to watch him.

Anyway, I was super excited to see my family! Plus I love Provo so so so much! Once I got to Provo, I realized something else: My amazing friend Jefferson was at school and I could maybe see him!!! I haven't seen him since December. So right when I got there I texted him and we met at a bench by the Library and talked for like an hour! It was so great and made me so happy! I have missed him so!

Then, I went back to my family. And my cousin Eric came to join us! He goes to school at BYU as well and we are a year apart and we are just so close. Sadly, since we are both always so busy we only get to see each other once every few months. It was so great seeing him!!!

After we watched Josh we all went to BRICK OVEN!!! It was so yummy!

I am pretty sure that it was one of the greatest days of my summer! And maybe of my life! Haha

What? Two Jobs Weren't Enough?

That is what my friend Ben said when I told him I got a third job. And as we all know, I am not creative enough to come up with my own title so I steal from other people. Yes, I have a third job. I am a nanny for a ten month old girl. It has been a huge blessing because I have a lot less hours than I used to have at Eldredge and Rodgers. The only thing that is hard for me at this job is getting up at 4:30 am to be there by 5:00 am. When I get home around 1:00 pm -ish, I am usually too tired to do anything else with my day. But at least I have money!!!

Class of 2010

I has the wonderful opportunity of seeing my sister Brianne and cousin Rylie graduate from Bountiful High last week. I was thinking about my graduation and I was so sick with the swine flu that I really don't remember much. I remember having a fever and wanting to die.

My favorite part of this graduation was when everyone stood up and the class sang the school song. It was in an insanely high key. Did I sing along at the top of my lungs? Yep.

After the graduation, I kept asking my mom if I looked ok. She was like, "Bretleigh, it's not your graduation. You don't have to look good." A little bit annoyed, I said, "Mom, I was such an important part of all these kids' lives. I'm pretty sure someone is going to want their picture with me!" I was kidding of course, but then my mom sorta bet me that it wouldn't happen. Crap! So while Mom was taking pictures of me and Bri, I heard someone yell, "Bretleigh! I need a picture with you!" It was Patrick. And I was so happy and I kind of pulled a "Ha I told you so" face at my mom. So I won. The End.

Unknown

My plans for this summer did not work out. I was very frustrated for a couple of days. I like having and following a plan, and when the next few months ahead of me aren't already scheduled day for day it makes me very nervous. I really have nothing planned for this summer at all. No vacations or anything. Nothing. It's driving me crazy! But guess what? I know that I am going to have a blast and learn a lot and have a lot of amazing experiences. I don't know what will happen this summer, but I'm sure it's going to be great!!!! :D

WOW

It is very unusual for me to be this positive so soon after dissapointment! I don't know what has come over me, but I like it!
